More about Homage to Living Systems

Damon researched the local situation, meeting with the community and the various organizations involved in the restoration of Chinook Bend Natural Area. After listening to them, Damon used local materials and provided three elements that complemented the intention of the natural area, iIn particular, a pole to measure floods. This project also provided a large 14-foot-diameter Living Water Drop compass on which visitors and children could sit, because the entire area was very wet. Collaborators included Carnation citizens, members of the Snoqualmie tribe, numerous departments from King County Wastewater Ecology, and the wetlands-focused, Ducks Unlimited.
